I have now decided to donate $1 for every person (I am on a budget unfortunately but may bump this up if my income situation improves) that enters this contest to LionAid.  Lionaid is a conservation organization that works to conserve and protect lions/lionesses and I felt it was a fitting charity to nominate as this is a lion oriented contest.

I’ve seen so many amazing TLK artists over the years, so I am here to offer up a contest for everyone to participate in! It will be split into two categories but you are welcome to join all/or one, the sky is the limit!

Contest #1 - Design a Mate for Kivuli

Contest #2 Design a Mate for Hasira

Contest #3 Design a cub for Adult Tiifu and Kiburi (bonus points if you add an adult version!)

Contest Rules:

Please no bases, even if your line-work is shoddy I want to see your work <3 That being said these can be done as linearts or full blown drawings/backgrounds whatever you’d prefer *please include colour. *I may make exceptions for custom, non-public bases but please ask ^_^

-  You may enter as many times to all three of the contests as you wish within the time limit. They will count as separate entries however.

 By entering you acknowledge the fact I will gain soul rights to the designs of the winners and they will not be used/sold past that point.

If you place second or third in a category, you acknowledge that I will tip you an extra 500 or $5CAD if I would like to keep your design as well. *you will also receive your placement prize on top of that. If so, said rule above applies.

- If you do not place you are free to do as you wish with the mate/cub design, however, they cannot be related to my characters in anyway if you do sell them ^^

- Contest will end September 1st  2017 PST (this may get extended if more entries are needed)

Prizes:

Each Contest will have a first, second and third place with possible bonus goodies for others depending on how many people enter!

First Place Prizes (each): $50 CAD or 4200 + a custom lion/lioness design using a custom base that is not public use + a mini story for any character(s) drawing you’ve done that you want a narrative for (approx 250-500 words)

Second Place Prizes (each): $20 CAD or 2200 + any one of my open current adoptable (second place winners get first dibs then third place)  *If I love your design to bits I will also add in an extra $5 CAD or 500 to keep your design on top of the prize.

Third Place Prizes (each): $10 CAD or 1100 + any one of my open current adoptable (second place winners get first dibs then third place)  *If I love your design to bits I will also add in an extra $5 CAD or 500 to keep your design on top of the prize.

Contests~

Contest #1 & #2 Design a mate for Kivuli (1) and design a mate for Hasira (2)  (this takes place during Kovu and Kiara’s reign/their cubs reign)

Kivuli is Hasira’s littermate and sister. They are the co-leaders of the Shadowlands Pride (recognize the name? c: ) which is a militant pride that attacks and takes over weaker/smaller prides, assimilating them into their ranks. Their main base of operation takes up residence in the old elephant graveyard but they tend to move and travel large distances to bolster their ranks/enslave other prides.

While Hasira is aggressive, stoic and large (a bit bigger then Mufasa) he is the more stern and albeit quiet of the two. Do not mistake this for kindness however as Hasira is very tactical. Kivuli on the other hand is smaller then her brother and is considered a rare and dangerous oddity, a maned female lioness. She is aggressive, quick, hot tempered and easily roused to anger. That being said she is extremely intelligent.

Design a cub for Tiifu (adult - TLG) and Kiburi


Kiburi is the grandson of Sarabi x Mufasa. His father was  their second son, born shortly after Mufasa’s death (Simba’s younger brother). Sent away from the Pridelands to keep him safe from Scar, Sarabi informed him that the cub had been stillborn. Kiburi was born outside of the Pridelands and returns to his father’s homeland shortly after Kovu and Kiara’s union after discovering his lineage through meeting Kion.

Kiburi resembles his grandparents to a T, holding Sarabi’s stalwart pride and loyalty to his kin and his grandfather’s iron will. I have paired him with Tiifu as I feel while she would have shed her childishness as an adult, she’d still have a spark of humour and would warm his heart. (That and I can’t lie, I love Tiff’s design <333)

The cub(s) can be male or female.
